Days of War
The wind howls outside this night, the rain is coming down
The tension that has been building is starting to come out
The emptiness is inside tonight, the pain is building slow
The understanding of these feelings is beginning to show
These days of war, there's no inner peace, everyone's on their own
People are all just trying to get by, and, no one cares where you're going
The blood is spilled for oil on distant desert sands
And, people fight for freedom on other troubled lands
Why can't we all just help each other, instead of struggling on our own
it only takes a little compromise for a balance to be known
These days of war, there's no inner peace, everyone's on their own
People are all just trying to get by, and, no one cares where you're going
The blood is spilled for oil on distant desert sands
And, people fight for freedom on other troubled lands
Why can't we all just help each other, instead of struggling on our own
it only takes a little compromise for a balance to be known
These days of war, there's no inner peace, everyone's on their own
People are all just trying to get by, and, no one cares where you're going

The Bounty Hunter Assassin
Well, there was a man named Michael who rode a motorcycle
Michael knew no fear for he was a cavalier
And, along the dried up gulch the rattlesnakes they did the shakes
But Mike just rode his bike and kept his cool, he's no fool
I say Michael, you know he was a wanted man, but you know
He'd done too much wheeling and dealing, and drinking and fighting, and cheating and stealing
I say Michael, you know he was a wanted man, but you know
He'd done too much wheeling and dealing, and drinking and fighting, and touching and feeling
So, Michael was a wanted man who roamed alone in the wasteland
A handsome price was on his head, paid to the one who shot him dead
And, though used to bounty hunters, Isabelle was on his trail
And, when it came to tracking down Isabelle had never failed
I say Michael, you know he was a wanted man, but you know
He'd done too much wheeling and dealing, and drinking and fighting, and cheating and stealing
I say Michael, you know he was a wanted man, but you know
He'd done too much wheeling and dealing, and drinking and fighting, and touching and feeling
A showdown had begun, Isabelle was first to draw her gun
But as she shot Mike down a snake had left marks of its own
The closest help was too far off, and, as she drew her final breath
Isabelle realized chasing Mike brought only death
I say Michael, you know he was a wanted man, but you know
He'd done too much wheeling and dealing, and drinking and fighting, and cheating and stealing
I say Michael, you know he was a wanted man, but you know
He'd done too much wheeling and dealing, and drinking and fighting, and touching and feeling

Nobody Knows, Nobody Cares (Except Us)
Nobody knows about what's going on, nobody knows what to do
Nobody knows about what's going on, 'cause everyone's high on glue
I suppose no one wants to be the one to miss out on all the fun
I guess it must take a real tough guy to say "I'm not afraid to die, that's right."
And, I don't give, I don't give, I don't give a damn if I die or live!
Nobody cares about what's going on, nobody cares what they do
They don't really care about me,
And, they definitely don't give a shit about you.
And they don't give, they don't give, they don't give a good fuck if we die or live!

The Lonely Road

The Lonely Road
The road I travel on stretches out before me
Filled with the people I can't hear or see
Seems to me I always travel alone down my life's long road
By my own will I carry my stone, with no one to share the load
I wonder if the people who travel with me
Travel like me alone towards their destiny
Who are those they are traveling with, do they just go their way
By guiding the wrist do they all persist, and, so their path does not stray
Does not stray...
Well I'm tired of being alone
All these nights beside the phone
Why do I haul my load alone down this quiet road
You can get by on the basic necessities
But you need something more to live in society
Someone to love, someone to need, someone to share your dreams
Someone to help carry you through, something alone you couldn't do
You couldn't do...
The road I travel on stretches out before me

Smelly (Take 4)
Smelly has a problem keeping clean, it's not your fault, but people
they seem to have a thing for being mean these days
You see it all the time
I know you want to fit in, but you know times have changed
It seems these days you just can't win, yeah, yeah
Oh, Smelly my friend, you were all alone in the World
Left alone to plot your revenge
Oh, Smelly my friend, you were all alone in the World
Left alone to plot your revenge
Yeah, so inclined to destroy yourself
And, maybe while you're at it you'll take out a few of us in the process
Smelly has a problem keeping clean, it's not your fault, but people
they seem to have a thing for being mean these days
You see it all the time

Gate Crasher
There's a new message to give to the head of state
There's a new message to give to the head of state
Bet you won't be too smug when I crash the gate
Bet you won't be too smug when I crash the gate
It's too bad you got caught with your pants down
It's too bad you got caught with your pants down
Bet you won't be too smug when I crash the gate
Bet you won't be too smug when I crash the gate
I didn't mean to crash your private party
I didn't mean to crash your private party
Bet you don't look so smug now I've crashed the gate
Bet you don't look so smug now I've crashed the gate
Bet you don't look so smug now I've crashed the gate
Bet you don't look so smug now I've crashed the gate

Take a Chance on Me

Take a Chance on Me
Well, I sit here like an unused tool, growing rusty on the shelf
Time moves on relentlessly, I grow tired of trying to sell myself
You know what they say, I must have papers
Papers that indicate my value
'Cause it's the numbers that tell the story
They won't put their faith in you
You need experience, to experience the experience that you'll
Need next time
You must be qualified, to qualify for the chance
For you to earn your dime
If you take a chance on me, I'll do my best to make you see
I'll do my best it's all I can
Take a chance on me and try to understand
If you take a chance on me, I'll do my best to make you see
I'll do my best it's all I can
Take a chance on me and try to understand
It seems some people can't look back and see themselves in your shoes
'Till someone somewhere gave them a chance
How quickly they forget how they paid their dues
What amazes me, what I can't understand, is the need for all the politics
I mean after all, for all that they give you, for your time
It's enough to make you sick
You need experience, to experience the experience that you'll
Need next time
You must be qualified, to qualify for this chance
For you to earn your dime
If you take a chance on me, I'll do my best to make you see
I'll try my best it's all I can
Take a chance on me and try to understand
If you take a chance on me, I'll do my best to make you see
I'll try my best it's all I can
Take a chance on me and try to understand
