I used to play in a band in Kamloops BC called Swackhammer, with a drummer named Marty Ylitalo, and, a guitar player named Dorian Payne. Right at the height of our local popularity, (we were talking with a major label about the possibility of the band having a future), Dorian's father came to us and said he wanted us to write a ballet. Dorian and I started talking about how we were going to build this thing; but sadly, the project never saw fruition because right around then was when we broke up. Somehow, I managed to piece this thing together myself over the next ten years or so. Hence, The Ballet That Killed My Band.

It is also about a time where I gave up music to work as a furniture mover, and as a construction worker to pay for ballet lessons for my partner. Many people would wonder why, (as it was hard to give up music); but there was a time where she made me feel cared about. I want you to know that I bear no knives, and I hope that you are well.
